Do I need to replace the catalyst filter?

Usually not. The composite catalyst filter removes odors (and ozone and TVOCs) from the air, and it's reusable.

How do I refresh it?

If you notice odors from the purifier, take the catalyst filter out and leave it in direct sunlight for about 1 to 2 hours. The sun's UV refreshes it. Don't wash it with water. Then put it back in, and you're done.

When would I replace it?
